Las Vegas Luxury homes -Very quietly there has been a revolution (evolution) going on right here in Las Vegas. Las Vegas has long been known for its fast gambling action and as an Adult playground. A small dusty town that you can escape to for a couple of days and have a little fun and then back to a real city. That has changed in the last 5 years.
Las Vegas is fast approaching 2 million people. What is significant is how fast this is happening. With not much older building availability the city has a huge amount of newer construction in all categories. Besides that Las Vegas has never been nostalgic about its old buildings as the old is imploded to make way for the new and better.
The two million mark is an important goal as this is what is looked at as the capacity required in order for high end retailers to move in and open locations within the higher end areas. It is also when a city is considered to have enough fans to support a profession athletic team. And last but not least it is the level at which the finest services, amenities, professionals, and suppliers are all are available locally for the buyer.
A excellent example of the luxury retail is the announcement on April 6, 2006 that Barney's New York the luxury retailer will occupy space in the "The Palazzo" casino hotel which is slated to open the summer of 2007. The Palazzo will be located on the Las Vegas Strip between the Wynn and the Venetian.
Other luxury retailers have already opened shops here in Las Vegas. This retail roster includes Etro, Dolce & Gabbana and Emilio Pucci.
The quiet evolution (revolution) of Las Vegas has arrived.
Along with the need for the finest in their field has come the requirements for their Las Vegas luxury home needs. One million dollar plus home sales have increased here dramatically. From 2004 through 2005 new home sales posted a 62% increase in the market. Existing home sales experienced a 35% increase in the million dollar plus bracket.
