June 29, 2006 Interstate Hotels and Resorts, the nation's largest independent hotel management company, today announced that Chris Van der Baars has been named vice president, development. In this new position, Van der Baars will spearhead the company's condo/hotel efforts, beginning with the recently signed 1,100- unit Pinnacle Condominium Resort in Las Vegas.
The Falconi Group recently named Marnell Corrao, one of the most recognizable and prestigious names in $850 million resort construction, as general contractor and secured its first-level financing. The project is set to break ground this year (2006).
