Henderson Insparada neighborhood

Inspirada, a community of nearly 2,000-acre master-planned community in the southern foothills of the Las Vegas valley, will open February 2006. The community features progressive architectural designs and the integration of commercial, residential and recreational areas within the community. Inspirada offerings include, KB Home's 17 model homes, Toll Brothers' and Meritage Homes.

"Henderson has always been a place for people to live, work and call home, and nowhere will that be easier to do that than in west Henderson. We're excited to see what 'new-urbanism' will bring with its villages, town centers, parks and trails," said Henderson Mayor James B. Gibson. Inspirada is an innovative community design collaboration between the City of Henderson and a group of nationally-known builders and developers including KB Home, Woodside Homes, Kimball Hill Homes, Focus Property Group, Toll Brothers, Pardee Homes, Meritage Homes and Beazer Homes. The design and architecture of the homes and community is totally new to the Las Vegas.

The builders and developers experience played a major role in the New designs of Inspirada. The New Urbanist communities, (aka) Smart Growth planning, are structured to balance the close-knit community feeling of traditional city neighborhoods and include the conveniences of modern life, while de-emphasizing the need for cars. Inspirada will be one of the largest communities of its kind in the U.S., have more than 11,000 homes and an estimated 26,000 people with 300 acres of recreational land and more than 20 miles of trails for walking and biking. Inspirada is a collection of seven villages, each featuring an eclectic mixture of homes sizes, designs and styles. Several neighborhood parks with a community center will be spread throughout the villages so that every resident is within walking distance of activities. The community is designed to have virtually no walls dividing the neighborhoods, a major departure from recent Las Vegas community trends. Just a short walk away for residents will be a 300-acre town center featuring restaurants, entertainment, office, retail, civic and municipal uses. Every neighborhood will contain architectural enhancements, materials and colors that will vary the homes and be reminiscent of classic towns of the past that developed organically over a long periods of time. The garages also are deemphasized with the homes pushed closer to the street to create an attractive street scene and allow residents to connect with their neighbors. The homes in the community will range from 1,375 to 4,000 square feet and start in the high $200s.
