El Capitan Ranch is located in the North West quadrant of the Las Vegas Valley. The neighborhood is comprised of approximately 770 homes ranging in size from about 1,524 sq. ft to just under 5,000 sq. ft. and from 3 to 6 bedrooms and 2.5 to 4.5 bathrooms per home. Almost one half of this neighborhood has private pools. The homes were built between 1996 and 1999. Lot sizes range from about 7,500 sq. ft. to over 9,000 sq. ft.. Pricing on these homes as of fall 2006 was from around $280,000 to $725,000. Association fees were only about $12 per month in 2006.

Durango Hills golf club is an 18-hole par 58 executive golf course with full service restaurant with banquet facilities for up to 100 guests.
