No Lack of Craftsman at Project City Center

March 23rd, 2007 Not even 30 percent of the peak workforce is in place at CityCenter, and minority subcontractors across the nation are being aggressively recruited to pitch in on the project.

01/22/2007- Sullivan Square announced that they have final constructions costs from their contractors and have solidified prices on their units. They are now going straight to contract signing!

1/21/2007- CityCenter plan is enough to leave you speechless - Sprawling over a good 30 feet - miniature buildings, cars, trucks and roads struck from clay and balsa and glue and plastic. From the Jetson-esque, circular offramp-thing on Harmon Avenue meant to enable drivers to valet their cars with ease, to the spaceship-shaped lighting pods lining a pool of fanning waters, to a roof designed to be a work of art from on-high, there are too many variables to comprehend.

01/08/2007-Worlds 2nd tallest building proposed for The Strip-Las Vegas real estate may reach new heights if a Texas developer has his way. The building is planned for the old Wet & Wild site on Las Vegas Blvd. just south of the Sahara Casino. Proposed in an obelisk shape with 5,000 rooms and a condo-hotel casino use. Clark County will review the application in March. The FAA has already come out in opposition to the tall structure. I'll keep you posted on this and all Las Vegas real estate news.

1/8/2007- Luxury Condo-Hotel proposed behind Wynn - Southern Nevada's largest and most expensive luxury-hotel/apartment project. It's to be built at the 13-acre site of the Las Palmas apartment complex on Paradise Road, across from the Wynn Las Vegas' golf...

12/30/2006- Condo's South of Texas Staion (click here) - A subsidiary of Station Casinos has entered into an operating agreement with FBLV Holding Company to combine 52 acres behind Station Casinos' oldest property, stretching back to Desert Inn Road, according to a filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission. It stated that the joint venture will develop, construct and manage a master-development plan incorporating mixed-use residential, retail and entertainment.

12/29/2006- Tropicana to be demolished and have 10,224 hotel rooms with 948 codo-tel units (click here) - Yet another Strip icon appears to be living on borrowed time. The Las Vegas Tropicana's casino, with its barrel-vaulted, stained-glass ceiling, doesn't figure in plans for the property's future.

12/22/2006- About W's future- With plans still up in the air about the future of its large land holdings on Harmon Avenue, Edge Resorts has hired a financial consulting firm to help work through different offers and options.

12/22/2006- Spanish View Towers to push forward- Spanish View Towers could soon see signs of life. The new luxury condominium project at Buffalo Road and the 215-Beltway quickly stalled after breaking ground in February. Now there are nearly $30 million in mechanics' liens filed against the job, hurting its ability to press ahead.

10/16/2006- 'New twist' to the Strip- The developer of the old Klondike Hotel & Casino site is busy acquiring use permits from Clark County for a hotel-condo-casino project.

10/12/2006- The Pinnacle Las Vegas - The Pinnacle Las Vegas offers much of what you might see in a Hawaii luxury condominium -- a spa, fitness center, putting green, garden jogging path, even a hibiscus-shaped pool.
The only thing missing is the walk to the beach.

08/02/2006- Mandalay Bay expansion could include condo tower- Even if you've built the most popular hotel or casino, there's always a way to top yourself. We've got your first look at another tower, this one part of an expansion at Mandalay Bay.
